Original ink wash painting by Western Canadian artist Alexandra Verboom Fritz of a close up of a faller’s hands as he sharpens his chainsaw. Alexandra painted this piece in memory of her years working at the local forestry shop, where she sold saws, build chainsaw chains, and taught people how to sharpen them. This piece also has close ties to the artist’s heart, as Verboom Fritz is originally from a small town where forestry is the main industry and many of her family members have worked as fallers and loggers.
“Filling a Chainsaw” is an original ink wash painting on 8 x 10 inch water colour paper, matted and framed, with a hanging wire installed. Ink wash paintings are often mistaken for pencil drawings, but they are actually paintings done with Indian ink using a water colour technique.
This piece is looking for its new forever home and can be yours for $145. If you would like to purchase, or to inquire about commissioning a custom painting similar to “Filling a Chainsaw”, please email us at averboompainting@gmail.com
