Original acrylic painting by Western Canadian artist Alexandra Verboom Fritz of a black timber wolf approaching its prey. This painting was commissioned by Alexandra’s husband before they were married. She based the painting on a wolf encounter she had a few years prior. Verboom Fritz had been camping on a solo backpacking trip when her peaceful morning beside a remote lake was interrupted by black wolf slinking towards her only 15 feet away.
This painting is on a 24 x 36 inch panel framed in black wooden frame that has been fitted with a hanging wire. The acrylic colours have been sealed with a protectant low gloss varnish.
