Original ink wash painting by Western Canadian artist Alexandra Verboom Fritz of a close up of a man’s hands operating a surveying tool to examine the grade of the worksite. This piece was commissioned by a local contracting company looking for work that represented their industry.
“Checking the Grade” is an original ink wash painting on 10 x 8 inch water colour paper, matted and framed, with a hanging wire installed. Ink wash paintings are often mistaken for pencil drawings, but they are actually paintings done with Indian ink using a water colour technique.
